Living wage update

Following careful consideration, the decision to leave the criteria relating to Living Wage in our Standard has been taken.  This means that producers will still need to comply with the core and mandatory requirements. Many conversations have happened across the organization and we are aware of the challenges relating to the Salary Matrix Tool, the quality of data we receive, and therefore the commitments we can make with companies; therefore in the immediate term, we will reactively respond to any requests for Living Wage work with companies on a project basis.  These projects will be developed with the eventual Living Wage offering in mind, to help us pilot and test approaches.

Minor binding document changes

Annex Chapters 2 and 3 have been updated outside of the normal binding documentation update process to accommodate urgent changes. Annex chapter 2 now reflects information around mass balance for cashews and almonds as well as some small clarifications. Annex chapter 3 has been updated to correct an error around SI for banana and fresh fruit and a note on transparency for SD/SI payments has been added. Both annexes have an overview of key changes outlining the corrections in detail.
