What is changing?

In December 2025, The Rainforest Alliance will introduce online payment for invoices. We are partnering with Flywire, a trusted global payment platform to process payments, to make it faster, easier, and more secure to pay invoices online.

From the end of 2025 each email with invoices you receive from Rainforest Alliance will include a Flywire payment link. By clicking the link, you can complete your payment online in just a few simple steps.

How do I make a payment via the new payment platform?

What are the advantages of using the online payment platform?

This update is designed to make your payment faster and more convenient. With it, you will be able to:

  • Save time by paying multiple invoices at once—even across crops or projects

  • Transact locally in your preferred currency

  • Select your preferred payment method (available options vary per country)

  • Receive email and SMS notifications on your payment’s status, or create a Flywire account to track your payment online

  • Simplify your admin with fewer manual steps

Do I need a Flywire account to pay?

No, you do not need to create an account, you can complete your payments as a guest. An account is only needed if you wish to track payments online or store details for future payments.

Can I pay multiple invoices at once?

Yes, as long as the invoices are in the same currency. The new platform allows you to combine and pay multiple invoices—even across different crops or projects—in one transaction.

Can I pay in a different currency than the one on my invoice?

Yes. You can pay in your local currency, and Flywire will process the payment with the appropriate exchange rate.

Will my invoice number automatically match my payment?

Yes. Payments made via Flywire are automatically matched to the correct invoice, reducing the need for manual reconciliation.

Will exchange rates apply?

If you pay in a currency different from the one listed on your invoice, Flywire will apply an exchange rate. The total amount due, including the exchange rate, will be shown before finalizing your payment.

What happens if my company requires me to pay through their own portal?

If your company policy requires you to pay via an internal portal, you can continue to do so using traditional bank transfers. However, we strongly encourage using the Flywire link for faster reconciliation.

Are there any fees for using certain payment methods?

Flywire does not apply any additional fees beyond applicable exchange rates. Some payment methods may incur bank-related or card-issuer fees. Please contact your bank or card issuer for details about additional fees.

Will I still be able to pay invoices to the Rainforest Alliance via the old method, via bank transfer?

Yes, we will accept payments both via the old bank transfer method and via the online payment platform options.

How will I know my payment went through?

You will receive a confirmation email once your payment has been submitted. You can also log in to Flywire to track your payment status.

Can I track my payment status without creating a Flywire account?

Yes, you will receive updates via email. However, if you want full tracking access, you may create a Flywire account.

How long does it take for my payment to be applied?

Processing times vary depending on the payment method and country, but most payments clear within 2-5 business days.

What happens if I misplace the invoice email?

If you cannot find your invoice email, please contact customersuccess@ra.org to request a new payment link.

What if my payment fails or is delayed?

If a payment fails or takes longer than expected, please check your email for updates. If you need assistance, reach out to customersuccess@ra.org.

Do I still need to send proof of payment?

No. When you pay via Flywire, your payment is automatically confirmed in our system. Proof of payment is not required unless specifically requested.

Who do I contact for invoice corrections or credit notes?

For invoice adjustments, credit notes, or disputes, please contact customersuccess@ra.org.
