With our Sustainable Agriculture Standard, the Rainforest Alliance has developed a strong, forward-looking approach to certification that is fit for the challenges facing sustainable agriculture and related supply chains. As the topic of sustainability should continue beyond the farm gate, buyers in certified supply chains must provide increased support to farmers to work more sustainably. We are therefore aiming to foster not only transparency, but also drive responsible business practices from companies throughout the supply chain.
The updated Supply Chain Requirements have been developed with simplification and clarity as our leading principles, based on the feedback and learnings gathered in the last few years. We’ve made our certification program more user-friendly and streamlined than before, removing unnecessary complexity and strengthening our data-driven approach.
