How to Access Power BI Reports

Prev Next

Welcome!

We are pleased to invite you to create a Power BI account to access and analyse your Rainforest Alliance data easily and clearly with user-friendly visuals. This platform offers valuable insights into your supply chain and other topics. To understand the data presented in each report, please refer to the Introduction page at the start of the report.

Before you set up your Power BI account, please be aware…

If your company already uses Microsoft, your browser may direct you to your company’s environment. To avoid this from happening, you can try one of the following options:

  • Log out of your work account in your current browser.

  • Use a different browser that is not logged into your work account.

  • Use the 'incognito' or 'in private' window of your browser.

Also, make sure that your organization allows access to external links. RA does not have access to change the firewall parameters as it depends on your internal systems settings.

Important Note: Group emails or shared mailboxes are not supported in our environment. Additionally, please ensure that cross-tenant access settings are enabled - check with your company's IT expert if needed.

Now you are ready to set up your Power BI account!

1st step: Create your Power BI account by following the instructions in this link

Important Note: Be sure to register with the email address that is used in RACP / MyRA / MultiTrace.

Need help? Follow these instructions!

  • Creating the account by signing in: Your Power BI account will be created by logging in with the same email associated with your MyRA/MultiTrace/RACP account and the password from your Microsoft account (please note this is not your MyRA/MultiTrace/RACP password).

  • Verify the user sign-in: During the creation of your Power BI account, you may be required to verify your identity through an authentication method by signing in to Power BI using your MyRA / MultiTrace /RACP email.

This process typically looks as follows:

Important Note: Rainforest Alliance is not involved in any authentication processes. If you encounter issues such as forgetting your password or needing to update your phone number for login authentication, you must adjust these settings in your own Microsoft environment settings. As Rainforest Alliance, we do not have access to your Microsoft environment and are unable to provide further assistance with this matter.

  • Confirmation: Accessing “My Apps” indicates account setup: Upon reaching this screen, it indicates that your Power BI account has been successfully created. No action is required from you in this particular screen; you can close it.

2nd step: Access the Rainforest Alliance Power BI reports

Troubleshooting common issues

Error message: Your account is blocked. We’ve detected suspicious activity on your account. Sorry, the organization you are trying to access restricts at-risk users. Please contact your admin.

Solution: This happens when you have an active Microsoft account at your own organization. Contact the IT administrator from your own organization and tell them that they have been flagged as an  “at-risk” user in your Microsoft Entra environment. Your IT team should work to remove the “at-risk” flag from your account.

Error message: Selected user account does not exist in tenant and cannot access the application

Solution: This can happen when your account has been created very recently. Sometimes it can take up to 48 hours after creating your account in RACP / MyRA to be able to access Power BI. Please try again 48 hours after creating your account in RACP / MyRA. If the issue persists please contact CustomerReporting@ra.org.

Data security considerations

You will only see data specific to your supply chain (certificate holder accounts in which you are set up as a user in the source system), based on entries from your supply chain. This ensures that only authorized users can access account data.

What you can expect from us

We will update the reports’ content periodically when we have a new release (this could be functionality or data related).

As you begin to work with the dashboards, please share any feedback you have via your relationship manager or Customer Success Team.
