The formal transition period to our 2020 Rainforest Alliance Certification Program for Farms and Supply Chain Actors that participated in the legacy UTZ or 2017 Rainforest Alliance Certification programs ended on July 1st, 2023.
To fully complete the changeover to the 2020 certification program, Rainforest Alliance invites Certificate Holders to clean-up and to close their legacy MultiTrace traceability account(s). Please note that this information is relevant to all Rainforest Alliance Certified crops, except for Tea (for more information on that topic, please refer to our Policy Online Traceability Exception for Tea Certificate Holders).
In the following section you will find information on the activities that the Rainforest Alliance can support you with and can perform on your behalf.
Activities Rainforest Alliance can perform on your behalf
Certificate Holders will gradually receive an invitation via e-mail to engage in legacy account closure and make use of the MultiTrace Legacy Account Closure Form. Please note that the submission of the request form is essential for the Rainforest Alliance to initiate the account closure on your organization's behalf.
Below, we explain the different activities Certificate Holders can request on the MultiTrace Legacy Account Closure Form.
Redeem
With this activity, you are requesting the Rainforest Alliance to redeem volumes from your stock overview in MultiTrace. The activity redeem marks the end of the online traceability of certified volumes, as those are traced out of the traceability system. More information on redeem can be found in Annex Chapter 2: Traceability.
Important: The redeem functionality is not available for multi-ingredient product(s). |
Please note the redeem function may trigger royalties (see Rainforest Alliance License Agreement General Terms and Conditions).
Move
The Rainforest Alliance will move volumes that have not yet been physically processed or used from your legacy account(s) to your Rainforest Alliance Certification Platform (RACP) account. With this, you will have your stock volumes available for further processing.
Please note this action may trigger royalties (see Rainforest Alliance License Agreement General Terms and Conditions).
Remove
Volumes not sold as Rainforest Alliance Certified can be removed from the traceability platform.
Removing these volumes marks the end of online traceability. More information on removing can be found in Annex Chapter 2: Traceability.
Important: There are two exceptions: mass balance and multi-ingredient traceability
|
Please note this action may trigger royalties (see Rainforest Alliance License Agreement General Terms and Conditions).
In the next section you will find detailed information on how to close your legacy accounts.
